Vocals, Sanshin & Tategoto (Amami Harp):Anna SATO

Anna Sato began studying the traditional shima-uta (island songs) of
Amami at the age of three under the guidance of her grandfather.
Centered on her unmistakable voice, she has built an international career that
bridges tradition and contemporary performance.
Her stage credits include the role of Fantine in Les Misérables,
as well as collaborations with acclaimed Belgian choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui,
flamenco legend Eva Yerbabuena, the butoh company Dairakudakan led by Akaji Maro,
and productions directed by Toshiki Okada. She also performed the main theme and,
appeared in the NHK historical drama Segodon, and is widely known as the voice and singing
performer for Fuka in Nintendo's Splatoon 3.
Rooted in the cultural heritage of Amami, Anna continues to create borderless artistic
collaborations with performers from around the world.

Taiko & Electronic Taiko:Masayuki SAKAMOTO

Masayuki Sakamoto was a leading performer with Kodo,
Japan's internationally renowned taiko ensemble, where he spent many years performing as
both a soloist and a central member of the company. During his tenure,
he appeared in numerous major productions under the artistic direction of Tamasaburo Bando,
serving as one of the company's principal performers.
Since launching his solo career in 2018, Sakamoto has continued to expand the expressive
possibilities of taiko. Both the tunable barrel drum Kanade, which he helped conceive
and develop, and the electronic taiko Taiko-1 have received the Good Design Award.
Having performed in more than 30 countries, his diverse career includes collaborations
with Kabuki actor Danjuro Ichikawa, enka singer Fuyumi Sakamoto,
and performances on stages across a wide range of genres.
He also contributed taiko performances to director Takeshi Kitano's film Kubi,
continuing to explore new possibilities for the art of Japanese drumming.
